University of Surrey scientists and designers from Lon Don College of Fashion are developing a program that can accurately measure waist, hip, chest and other measurements from camera image. Using a person's height as a starting point, this software can build a 3D image and estimate the size at different points on the body, based on overall stature. This result will be more accurate than the selection of international small / medium / large size . The use of this program will help consumers save a lot of money on parcels due to repeatedly sent clothing does not fit.
" It's unrealistic to expect online shoppers to get their measurements right," said University of Surrey Professor Adrian Hilton . So this program has helped solve that problem. "
