Men should limit the use of mobile phones

US researchers have found that men who use mobile phones more than four hours a day have fewer sperm, less mobile sperm and poorer quality.

The team at the Cleveland Clinic Association in Ohio examined the sperm of 364 men who had been treated at a maternity hospital in Mumbai, India.

Those who use a handheld for about 2-4 hours a day have a sperm concentration of 69 million / ml and average sperm quality.

Those who do not use mobile phones have the highest sperm count of 86 million / ml and the best quality.

" People use mobile phones without thinking about the consequences of it, consider it similar to using a toothbrush, but the fact that mobile phones can cause severe consequences on fertility ," Ashok Agarwal, the head of the study, said: " Although more research is needed to demonstrate, it clearly has an important meaning because mobile phones today are an integral part of life ."

Radiation from mobile phones can harm sperm by destroying DNA, affecting testosterone-producing cells or the pipeline where sperm is produced.

However, Dr. Allan Pacey, University of Sheffield, UK, doubts the direct relationship between mobile phones and fertility. " If you use the phone for 4 hours a day, the phone has left the pants for a long time. How can it affect the testicles?"

He said that people who use cell phones for too long will be more likely to sit in one place, get more stress, eat more snacks, and cause consequences like research.
