Modern women prefer technology over jewelry
Diamond was no longer the best friend of the girls. A new study in the US found that 75% of women prefer to choose a plasma screen TV rather than a diamond chain.
The survey, conducted by Oxygen Network Cable TV in the US, found that the gender gap in technology was almost eliminated, with most women accessing new technology and using it easily.
On average, women own 6.6 technology devices compared to men 6.9. Four out of five girls are comfortable using technology, of which 46% handle computer problems themselves.
"People often think that women don't keep up with men in technology and I'm surprised that two sides have achieved parity in this area," said Geraldine Laybourne, Oxygen Network CEO. .
The survey of 1,400 women and 700 men between the ages of 15 and 49 also found that when women were selected, it would be better to take a high-tech device than luxuries like jewelry or vacation .
77% of women will choose a plasma-screen television instead of a diamond chain and 56% prefer plasma-screen TVs rather than weekends in Florida.
Even shoes are out. 86% of women prefer a digital video camera rather than a fashion shoe.
According to researchers, within the next five years, women will increase activities in six technology areas: digital cameras, mobile phones, email, camera phones, pagers and online messages. .
