More confirmation about alien life world captured by NASA
Scientists have made more evidence that the South Pole of Earth's neighbor planet harbors a vast underground water chamber - where NASA hopes life could exist.
According to SciTech Daily, an international research team led by the University of Cambridge - UK used laser altimeter data from the spacecraft to discover subtle patterns of the ice cap at the south pole of Mars .
This real-world data has proven that previous computer models predicted a body of groundwater just below the polar ice cap.

This finding also fits with previous ice-penetrating radar results, which many researchers around the world have shown to be the signal of liquid water in the form of underground lakes similar to what we find in Earth's Antarctica.
This new Cambridge-led study, published in the scientific journal Nature Astronomy, provides the first independent evidence that liquid water exists under the Martian south polar ice cap using data other than radar.
"The combination of new topographic evidence, the results of our computer model and radar data increases the likelihood that a region of subglacial liquid water exists on Mars today and that Mars must still be geothermally active," said Professor Neil Arnold from Cambridge's Polar Research Institute, who led the study.
Previously, many studies, using rich data sets from NASA and ESA (US and European space agencies) spacecraft, have shown that the Red Planet's south pole is very likely to possess water kept in liquid form by salinity or geothermal activity.
This is also where scientists, including NASA scientists, hope to find a world of life. Although subglacial lakes may sound inhospitable, in recent years a series of life worlds with extreme creatures that do not need light or suitable temperatures have been revealed right on Earth, in similar subglacial lakes.
