Mysterious bell-shaped jelly in Mexican cave
Instead of the usual pointy shape, the stalactites that lie deep in the underground cave in Yucatan (Mexico) have a rather strange shape like a bell.
These photos were taken by photographer Rino Sgorbani in an underwater submerged cave in Yucatan (Mexico).
This is a cave covered with stalactites. However, instead of the usual pyramid, the stalactites here are quite strange in shape, likened to the image of a bell, flower bud, trumpet or . elephant's legs.
There are tiny bell-shaped stalactites but there are also emulsions that are as big as humans.
These stalactites are formed by dripping sediment. It took up to 100 years, new stalactites thickened by 2.54cm.Therefore, these bell-shaped stalactites must have gone through the development process for thousands of years.
The special shape of the stalactites is still an unknown solution for researchers.
