Mysterious fish have human-like teeth
A fisherman in the southern Ural region of Russia caught a strange fish with human-like teeth on a small lake about 40km from Chelyabinsk city.
The story happened on a very quiet morning last September. Mr. Valery is sitting on a boat fishing and is a bit sleepy. Suddenly, he saw a net in the bush.
Mr. Valery decided to lift the net out of the water. There are some dead fish in it but one is quite big and still alive. The shape of its head and body is very strange. Mr. Valery tried to remove the fish from the net but was frightened when he saw the white teeth in his mouth, which were very similar to human teeth.
Mr. Valery threw the fish back in the lake and hurried back home. He returned the next day but the fish died. He decided to bring the fish back and show it to his friends.
The fisherman placed the strange fish under a thick layer of salt to preserve it. 'I hope it will attract scientists' attention before it is decomposed , ' he said.
Fishermen say the strange fish is like a wide-mouth buffalo, called Ictiobus . This species was often raised in the area in the 1980s.
But Russian fishermen believe that the fish that Valery caught is not a product of the change from buffalo fish, because such a transformation takes hundreds of years. However, they still have not explained exactly this strange phenomenon.
A fish with similar human teeth was also arrested in Texas not long ago, weighing 6.5kg. Scientists say it's a piranha, usually in South America.
