New technology to find people in the middle of the sea

Picture 1 of New technology to find people in the middle of the sea The US Coast Guard is about to launch a new technology that will help pinpoint the exact location of off-shore seamen. The new technology, called Rescue 21, uses a series of terrestrial antennas to operate. When a signal sailor gets lost, Rescue 21 can pick up and report to the rescue team the exact location of the boat.

A rescue specialist said that casualties often misrepresent their position among the immense sea, so it is very difficult for rescue personnel. That is not to mention the case of false rescue call. With the ability to pinpoint the location of a lost boat, the Rescue can distinguish the danger signal as true or false. Rescue 21 will be tested on April 10th before being officially launched this summer.
