Pain relief bed for immobile patients

Difficult or unmoving patients will help with fear and pain whenever they have to move or clean, thanks to the "bed of necrosis for the immobile".

Nguyen Long Uy Bao, 43, lives in District 9, Ho Chi Minh City has just won the highest prize in the program The inventor is organized by Vietnam Television, with the product being "Bed against necrosis for real estate" he studied for nearly ten years.

With the smart structure is the combing mechanism of the bed sheets, Mr. Bao's invention can help caregivers change bed sheets conveniently and easily without the patient having to move or suffer much pain. In particular, the ability of the bed to move the patient does not have to contact too long with a certain point, thereby reducing the risk of necrosis for those who stay for a long time.

The idea of creating products was thought by Mr. Bao 14 years ago, when he himself had an accident, and had to stay in the hospital for a long time. Here, every day, he observes that patients with severe illness or necrosis travel are very hard, especially when the hospital staff comes to change the bed, some people are sick due to the screaming.

"When patients are necrotic, changing sheets becomes even more difficult. Even at least two, three, or even 5 people can lift patients out of bed , " Bao said.

Frequently witnessing that image, Mr. Bao wondered if there was no way to replace the bedside more gently for patients.

"Why not create a convenient bed that even if the patient is sleeping can be replaced , " Mr. Bao recounted his thoughts back then. "Maybe it is unusual, unimaginable, changing the garage without lifting people up. If we can do it, then surely people have to think up, where is my turn."

"As for patients with necrosis, the bed sheets with their bodies sometimes stick together, how to take the gas out without making it painful to learn . " A series of questions lay in his mind when he began to think about creating a "miracle" bed.

Until 4 years later, he solved the problem."The idea of how to create a bed helps the sick person stay motionless, haunting me for years," Mr. Bao said.

The motivation to create the bed became stronger when he lost his grandmother forever."In 2003, my grandmother died of a serious illness, she was still necrotic, so she could only lie in one place, so her health became exhausted. This urged me more than ever to make one thing. some miracle " , Mr. Bao said.

The moment he focused on studying how to create a bed, many people thought Mr. Bao had paranoia. He abandoned those words and focused on patent work. He finally completed the "unimaginable" discovery of the principle of creating a bed to help patients no longer suffer when changing bed sheets in 2007.

"When I found the principle, I was like Archimedes came out of the bathroom, and I was screaming, because during that time, I almost couldn't eat or sleep," Mr. Bao recalled.

Mr. Bao said, the bed is a completely new invention, its operation is not like any other bed."When I was just working, I was hard at work, I tried it and failed, but I accepted it all and persisted in finding the best solution to solve the problem, because I thought my path was right" , Mr. Bao said. In 2008, the bed resists necrosis for the estate man to complete.

Nguyen Long Uy Bao said, the bed he created had overcome the disadvantages of a normal hospital bed. Instead of the bed being a block like before, his new bed was divided into two halves, and assembled together on the principle of combing. Each half of the gas bed and cushion is corresponding.

The bed sheet is in the shape of a glove, while the mattress is small bars that match the bar of the two half beds, so when the caregiver changes the gas or cleans the bed, the patient stays fixed on the other half of the bed.

"The bed has just helped everyone change the gas easily, just to prevent the necrosis of the sick, but just need a servant with a simple move," Bao said.

Mr. Bao said that he has sold several dozen beds to the market so far, and each time he receives good feedback from customers. Not only intending to produce and sell in the domestic market, Mr. Bao also wants to supply products abroad. Currently the domestic selling price of the bed is nearly 10 million dong.

"I am very proud that this is a Vietnamese product , " Bao said.
