Dozens of peacocks and roofs suddenly appeared in Banks, Lancashire, England last week. They eat vegetables and fruits, destroy flower beds, and leave feces on cars and roads. People in the village did not know where the flood came from, Telegraph reported.
"The peacocks are beautiful animals, but they are causing us trouble. They are very loud all day and night," said Jean O'Hanlon, a 71-year-old woman in the village.
O'Hanlon said that she and her husband tried to scare away the public, but they did not seem afraid.
"Peacocks appear everywhere. Some people use water guns to scare them because they do not want to hurt them, but water guns do not scare them. They are lying on the road and cars must stop until they decided to move elsewhere, " said O'Hanlon.
Cathy Bell, a 62-year-old woman, complained that the peacocks destroyed the gardens, trees and lawns.
But some villagers welcomed the peacocks. They even threw food for them.
Several theories about the origin of the flood were released. One theory is that they come from a farm near the village. Many people claim to be descendants of a pair of workers in an abandoned mansion nearby.
