According to technology editor Patrick Turner, the Pentagon is looking to buy the X6 from San Francisco-based Osterhout Design Group.
Defense One describes the new device completely different than the commercial version for consumers, with upgraded features suitable for military intelligence or sniping.
'When using the X6 to look at a 2D map, static, the structure will appear in three dimensions based on the attention of the wearer concentrating on a certain target on the map , ' said Turner.
This mechanism is based on a special application in which the smart glass sends images that the user is focusing on, and the server returns detailed information in 3D to display on the screen. Figure of glass.
Another feature included a face recognition program that allowed the X6 to glimpse a nearby person and confront face-to-face with available data on the server, possibly with information on suspected terrorists, suspected or wanted.
