According to the BBC, on July 9, the flowers were blooming 2.44m high and the National Botanical Garden had to be closed late for visitors to have a chance to see the flowers.

Titan Arum is one of the largest and most aromatic flowers in the world. It is also called 'corpse flower' because it smells like rotten meat.

Biologists say this odor makes people uncomfortable but very attractive to insects. After pollination, the flowers develop fruits that attract many birds, then die.

This flower is found in Indonesia's Sumatra rainforest, but is currently in danger of extinction in the natural environment. This flower rarely blooms and is difficult to grow and usually takes up to 6 years to grow.
