People with corona first cure Remdesivir from the disease
The patient, who returned from Wuhan, was positive for Covid-19, was tested on an anti-virus called Remdesivir, and ran out of fever after one day.
The first man to get sick with nCoV in the United States visited his family in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China, where the corona outbreak originated. He returned and landed at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on January 15.
When he returned home, he started to have a dry cough and a mild fever. As soon as he read the news about Covid-19, this man quickly went to an urgent care clinic. The Snohomish County Health Center, Washington, has sent samples to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, Georgia for testing. The result was positive for nCoV.
He was immediately quarantined at the Providence Regional Hospital in Everett City, Washington State. The room in which he is located is a hospital room built in 2015 to get ready for any local case of Ebola infection. However, the room has not been used until recently.

Treatment for this patient was done by a volunteer team, led by Dr. George Diaz, Head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Providence Regional Hospital. This is a rotating team of 20 nurses, 3 doctors and medical staff from the hospital's functional departments.
In the isolation room, patients are checked on their health through the "tele-Health" system, which means they make video calls so doctors and patients can discuss the progress of the disease. .
Five days after admission, the patient's condition began to deteriorate. On the sixth day, he had to breathe oxygen and the chest X-ray showed that he had pneumonia.
After discussing with CDC experts and patients, Dr. Diaz was approved by the US Federal Drug Administration to conduct an anti-viral drug called Remdesivir by the US pharmaceutical company Gilead to treat the disease. multiply.
"As a result, the patient has recovered from fever after treatment and the health has improved. Although it is still too early to conclude the effect of this drug on Covid-19 patients in general, it is clear," he said. "The results are very promising, promising early treatment options," said Dr. George Diaz, head of the Department of Infectious Diseases at Providence Regional Hospital.
This is the only case and also the first in the world to use Remdesivir to successfully treat patients with new corona virus infection.
In the past, Remdesivir has been tested in Ebola patients and has been shown to be safe but ineffective. Remdesivir, meanwhile, used to treat monkeys with Mers-COV, another corona virus, to show positive results. China is also testing Remdesivir for clinical trials on patients infected with corona in Wuhan.
As of February 18, the disease caused by Covid-19 claimed 1868 lives and 73,259 cases of the disease, most of them Chinese, where the outbreak began in early December.
