In the past, there were such phones, but they failed to attract the attention of consumers, due to their incomplete technology or their outward appearance.

However, Japan's NEC is hoping to once again introduce a new design that will open the door to the global smartphone market.

The Medias W series will be launched in Japan next April, where the second screen can be expanded to increase the screen area of the phone.

The new phone has two 4.3-inch screens, but the rear screen can be opened and located in front of the screen.

Finally, users can use the dual monitor as a single monitor, or each screen runs separate applications.

Running two applications at the same time is not a single Android smartphone can do in the current conditions.

The dual screen trend was not only initiated by NEC, but according to informed sources, Blackberry has also filed for patent application dual-screen concept, known to run two applications simultaneously.

Meanwhile, the Russian phone company Yota also brings to the Barcelona technology forum a different dual-screen phone. Accordingly, the front screen display color as the current smartphone, while the screen behind the ink run like a reading device.

Electronic ink screens can be used as traditional reading machines, but can also display messages or other notifications without having to activate the entire phone, reducing battery drain.

Both the color LCD screen and the electronic screen are 4.3 inches in size.

From the above, it is hoped that the dual screen will be a promising future for smartphones.
