Transparent Wall - Screen of the future

South Korean scientists have recently developed a dual-sided, transparent touchscreen that allows multiple users to simultaneously use the device. The new device is expected to provide more convenience in interacting and connecting users in the future.

Experts from the Korea Institute of Advanced Science and Technology have developed a touch screen called ' Clear Wall' using a thin three-dimensional screen sandwiched between two mica plates. They then added the sensors, combined with the surface transducer and microphone to vibrate and sound from both sides.

The image will be projected onto the glass from the projector on both sides of the screen, allowing multiple users to touch one point at a time without any physical interference. Surface converters will enhance the vivid experience by transferring vibration and sound from one surface to another.

Just by moving your finger across the glass wall, users on two sides can transmit and receive images and sound.

Professor Lee Woo-hoon of the Korea Institute for Advanced Science and Technology said, "When it comes to conventional touch screens, people often think that the images will be displayed in the same direction. But with this device, people can do something while in two different directions. Through the transparent wall, users can share visuals in a much more friendly and vivid way. We can use it as an interesting medium. '

The 'transparent wall' can be used extensively for a variety of purposes. Not only in homes, this device promises to be an effective means of entertainment in public.

Professor Lee Woo-hoon added, "This device can be installed in stations, docks, museums or shopping centers. Instead of hanging on the wall, it will be placed in the center of public space. People can see and touch visuals or play electronically on this wall. '

Researchers hope that 'Clear Walls' will soon be on the market to turn the display technology into a useful part of everyday life.
