Pine tree glows itself

Since ancient times, Westerners have used pine trees to decorate their homes on the occasion of the New Year's celebration. Pine trees are hung with colorful glass balls and funny toys. By the 19th century, the tree was attached with small candles, sparkling, and then there were small electric beams of many colors when glaring, when it was off . Nowadays, British scientists have just succeeded in creating a kind of self-luminous flux.

Geneticists at Hartfortshire University, by genetic engineering, forced pine trees to emit fanciful rays without the light of candles or light bulbs.

They have transplanted two types of genes, taken from fireflies and jellyfish. A gene produces luciferase and an enzyme that produces a fluorescent protide that emits green light.

Geneticists introduced the young shoots of the bacterium carrying the glowing gene to incorporate into the DNA of the pine. Then people make glowing plants thanks to liciferin, which has been put into plants through fertilizer. As a result, transgenic pine trees began to shine continuously day and night.

Although the idea seems like a fantasy, it is completely possible. Experiments have proved this. Previously, people had never created mice, the cat emitted blue light in the dark night, running around in that lab? Then the potatoes also turned into a light blue block like an electric bulb lying on the floor.

According to the inventors, the miraculous pine trees in the fairy tale will cost up to 320 USD, so no family can afford it. However, they also believe that those who prefer to play are not too few.

They even promised that in the future they would make glowing pine trees not only one color. Bright red, yellow, orange, blue, luminescent substances are available and they will create brilliant pine trees that radiate different colors.

It's coming Christmas 2017, you know? Let's see how to decorate the Christmas tree that we guide.
