Shrimps originated from hot waters. In the autumn and fall, the temperature of Bo Hai Bay is warm and the shrimp live and reproduce there. By winter, when the temperature falls below 10 degrees Celsius, life is threatened they all migrate to the Hoang Hai area in the south to stay winter.

Migratory prawns are very dispersed, often do not search for prey, their ability to function very poorly. For more than 2 months living in the seabed in winter, when the water gets warmer, the activity of the shrimp increases, the gonads develop. At the end of March, dispersed migratory shrimp began to gather in large groups to march north. Journey nearly 1000 km, it took 2 months to swim, to the shallow sea will disperse to lay eggs. After laying female shrimps because they have to go through a long journey, most of them die, adjusting the healthy ones to survive.

The juveniles until September are mature. During growing up, young shrimp must undergo 20 molting times. The adult male shrimp that year will mate with females and until the year after the new females become pregnant and lay eggs.

He has a pair of long whiskers and his body is used to feel the situation around him. Its chest muscles are very strong, able to swim far away. Fan-shaped tail, used to maintain body balance and birth when avoiding enemies. The color of prawn can change according to the pigment cells in their body. This pigment is red in high temperature, so in the hot season the shrimp is red.

Delicious, rich, nutritious prawn is a commodity with high economic value in many markets.
