Promulgating earthquake warning and tsunami warning regulations
On November 16, 2006, the Prime Minister signed the Decision No. 264/2006 / QD-TTg on promulgating the Regulation on earthquake warning and tsunami warning .

The regulation consists of 4 chapters, 14 articles, regulating the content of earthquake reporting, tsunami warnings including regular monitoring, collecting, processing information, issuing earthquake and warning messages. tsunamis and the transfer of such information to relevant state agencies . to serve the prevention, rescue, rescue, relief of mitigation caused by earthquakes and tsunamis.
The Regulation also provides for monitoring, information collection, broadcasting and transmission of earthquakes, tsunami warnings; responsibilities of ministries, branches and People's Committees of coastal localities.
Attached to the Regulation, there are 4 appendices on earthquake scale according to the MSK64 International earthquake scale, the area of tsunami warning area in the South China Sea, the list of agencies provided with information about earthquakes, tsunamis, samples News of tsunami warning.
This decision takes effect 15 days after its publication in "CONG BAO."
