A new study shows that the arrangement of a Qwerty computer keyboard can play an important role in selecting children 's names in the West.

According to Popular Science, the University of Chicago Dr. Daniel Casasanto leads an analytical study of the effect called 'Qwerty effect' , with Qwerty being the combination of the first keys. on the world's most popular computer keyboard model.

The results show that parents today tend to prefer letters on the right part of the keyboard , which are perceived to be more positive, compared to the group on the left (creating a more negative feeling).

The right key group starts from 'yh-n' , and the left key group from 'tg-b'.

And this trend has been rising since the Qwerty keyboard began to be popular since 1990, the time the US experts call the dawn of the 'modern keyboard era'.

To draw this conclusion, the team conducted statistics and analyzed 788 names used for children in the US from 1960 to 2012, based on data from the US Department of Social Security.

Accordingly, Olivia, Jacob, William, Mia . many names are strongly influenced by the right-group keys of the Qwerty keyboard.
