Reconnaissance robot

Small, lightweight, maneuverable, and flexible, it's a feature that the robotic line acts as a remote-controlled self-propelled vehicle that QinetiQ continues to grow to serve in the US military.

This robot was developed from the basic technique of designing many other robot series called Dragon Runner . The new robot is Dragon Runner 10 (DR10) , 38cm long, 34cm wide, 15cm high and weighs 4.5kg, so it's easy for soldiers to carry with them when they are on duty. DR10 easily crept into the buildings or environments that the enemy is holding to scout.

Not only is it compatible with the existing DR20 series, it can carry a load of up to 2.3kg, including a wide range of sensors, radios, cameras and flexible robot arms. The strength of the DR10 is its night-time operation, when it can be seen through the night, controlled from a distance of 650 meters, the chain wheel helps it cross the complex terrain.

When performing DR10 tasks it is possible to record both images in the opposite direction, it will move at 6.4 km / h and be able to exceed the 45 degrees. With only standard battery, the DR10 operates continuously for 2 hours, in case of extra battery life, up to 6 hours.

Gizmag reports that the DR10 is appropriate for the patrol duties of small numbers of military units.
