This pangolin will be monitored for about 10 months or until its tracking device stops working.

Mr. Tran Quang Phuong, CPCP Manager said in a statement released by the organization on May 5, after being accepted for rescue from illegal trafficking transports, it was often dehydrated and dense. especially starving, carrying germs and wounds from trapping. Therefore, rescuing and restoring Java pangolin takes a lot of time and effort, because the mortality rate is very high in captivity.

Currently, six Javan pangolins respond well to CPCP's recovery program and will be re-released into Cat Tien National Park in turn. Before being reintroduced into the wild, they will be cared for and closely monitored for their behavior and health status within a month at the Cat Tien National Park training facility.

Java Pangolin is included in the IUCN Red List as "globally Endangered". This is one of the most exploited mammals in Southeast Asia. The species was hunted for domestic consumption and traded to China for meat and traditional medicine. In addition, this species is threatened by habitat degradation.
