Sun is about to announce Java source code

Sun Microsystems has announced it will release the Java programming language under an open source license in the next few months.

However, according to Sun's open source general manager, Simon Phipps, Sun is currently faced with two main issues related to "opening" Java source code: one is how Java is compatible with platforms. another platform; secondly, make sure no company takes advantage of this source code for its own development.
