Rescue 14 bears
The Asian Animal Organization has brought 14 bears from Binh Duong to Vietnam Bear Rescue Center in Tam Dao National Park, Vinh Phuc.
14 bears including 2 male bears, 12 female bears, were voluntarily handed over by this bear farmer in Thuan An district, Binh Duong province earlier this month. This is a large farm, located about 15km from the center of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to Dr. Tuan Bendixsen, Chief Representative of the Asian Animal Organization in Vietnam, who directs the rescue of bears from Binh Duong, the bears here live in cages, the conditions of the barn in accordance with regulations. law.
However, the farm owner wants to hand over the bear because he wants the bear to be taken care of at the Vietnam Bear Rescue Center, where the bear is living in better condition, receiving medical care and having a natural environment to restore instinct.
'This is a very rewarding act because it helps to bring about a sustainable solution to end bear farm business in Vietnam - bear farms are voluntarily closed instead of being forced to do so. So, " said Dr. Tuan.
Most of the bears, when rescued to the center, lost their legs because they were trapped, their gallbladder parts were destroyed. Currently bears are being cared for in a temporary isolation ward to monitor their health. They will in turn be checked for health.
Until now, the Asian Animal Organization has rescued 98 bears throughout Vietnam, of which 33 were brought from Binh Duong province.
