RoboCup - World football cup for robots
The RoboCup World Championship football tournament takes place in China, with the participation of special players - robots of many countries.
World football cup for 2015 robots in China
According to BBC, RobotCup is an international football tournament for robots, first held in 1997 and so far, more than 40 countries participate in this special sporting event. This year's tournament is held in China for the 19th time.

RoboCup takes place from July 17 to July 23 in Hefei City, Anhui Province. The tournament consists of five categories : Small Size (small size), Middle Size (medium size), Humanoid (human-like shape), Standard Platform (standard platform) and Soccer Simulation (soccer simulation).
Each genre poses different challenges for robot builders, from finding the ball, to kicking the ball to keep the robot balanced, without falling.
In the end, the Brains Kids team of Chiba Technology Institute, Japan defeated ZJUDancer of Zhejiang University, China with a score of 1-0 in the competition for child-sized robots.
Chinese Water team defeated Tech United from the Dutch University of Eindhoven, to win the average size category for robots that are not like humans.
Organizers hope to have a soccer match between people and robots in 2050.
