Robot helps the astronauts
On March 11, Canadian scientists will send a $ 200 million robot to the International Space Station (ISS) to carry out heavy work under the control of astronauts.
Dextre, the robot name, is specially designed for repair and maintenance on the ISS. It can disassemble external ISS devices with high accuracy.
With a length of 3.7m, with two articulated arms and five cameras, Dextre will perform tasks outside the space station such as changing batteries, installing or moving laboratories.
The Canadian Space Agency said Dextre would help reduce the time spent traveling out of the astronauts' maintenance space, giving them more time to work on the science.
