According to the Daily Mail , supported in part by the Leverhulme Trust scholarship at the Computer Department at Goldsmiths School, University of London (UK), painter Patrick Tresset trained a bowel " disciple " as a robot arm. This special student has an " eye " connected to the artificial brain, which helps him recreate a part of Tresset's painting ability.

The robotic arm watched Mr. Tresset work, sketch portraits and then practice what he had learned. Look at the works outlining the portraits of this " painter " who will feel the initial success of the AIKON-II project that Tresset and his colleagues - Professor Frederic Fol Leymarie are pursuing.
The " painter " has made its debut at the Kinetica art exhibition in London and painted more than 100 faces over 2 days. (Photo: Daily Mail)
The AIKON project will follow two main research paths: one begins from the study of sketches and archives of artists and one based on modern scientific and technological knowledge.
Though it was just straight lines and curving lines, all of them formed a face. (Photo: Daily Mail)
Further explanation of the project on the University of London website, Professor fol Leymarie said, the accumulated knowledge of other human cognitive and neurological systems along with recent progress in the field of computer hardware, computer vision and artificial intelligence have helped researchers to build complex computing simulations of part of the artist's ability to sketch portraits. .

The ability of " painter " is still very limited due to the lack of " awareness " of what it is drawing. Therefore, Mr. Tresset and Professor Leymarie's next step is to refine the machine so that it can think and draw in its own style.
