Robot knows how to control electronics

Japan's Toshiba says it is building a robot that says ApriPoco can turn off the TV or control other electronic devices. This robot is continuing to improve to serve the elderly.

ApriPoco is only 21 cm high, equipped with multiple sensors that can detect infrared rays from remote control devices.

When a user clicks on a TV show, ApriPoco may ask, 'What are you doing?', And then remember the user's answer and the operation they performed with the controller. The next time, when users want to watch TV, they just make a request, ApriPoco will change their favorite program.

According to Toshiba, through this interactive interaction, users will teach ApriPoco talk as well as teach it how to use the device in the home. Especially for those in their 60s, ApriPoco gives them the feeling of teaching their grandchildren to talk.

"ApriPoco is believed to be very useful to older people who are more likely to stay away from complex electronic devices for home use," said Toshiba. The company also said it would soon market ApriPoco, but did not announce a specific date.
