Fire control robot
For the first time, China has built the exploration robot used to control explosions. This robot has just passed the technical test of scientists in charge of the National Science and Technology Program.
A robot built by a Chinese University on display at China Robot Expo 2004
This robot is a collaboration between the Robot Academy of Jiaotong University, Shanghai (Robot Institute of Shanghai Jiaotong University) and Shanghai Fire Control Institute of the Ministry of Public Security.
Weighing 300kg, the robot can go back and forth on four successive rope steps. It can turn left and right, climb over 250mm high obstacles and climb stairs with a slope of 30 degrees.
With 3 cameras to bring, it can monitor the situation on the ground and nearby areas and send relevant information about the operating center.
In addition, the robot is equipped with two fire-sensing ultrasonic sensors. This can help robots overcome obstacles and move to safety.
Thanks to its ability to test toxins, levels of oxygen depletion, explosives and smoke at dangerous places such as explosion scenes, robots can be very effective for safety. of firefighters
Scientists want to commercialize this product soon, so that it can be used in widespread fire control in China.
