Humans have invented photo printers, but we do not have a painting machine. Experts from the University of Konstanz in Germany have created such a machine, CNET reported.
E-David , the name of the robot they created, is not capable of making pictures of himself, but copying other paintings. It is not programmed to draw pictures, but uses "visual optimization" techniques to make decisions during the painting process. After each stroke, e-David will take a picture. Its software determines the position of the next stroke and calculates whether the next stroke should be bolder or lighter than the previous stroke.

"We equip a normal robot with all the tools needed to copy the paintings." The robot uses a 24-color brush, which can wash the brush and distribute the color accurately on the fabric. , e-David tracks itself to determine the position of the next stroke, so the drawings it produces are not affected by the programmer, but rather the result of the optimization process. visual, "the team said.
Experiments show that the artwork that e-David created is quite smooth and structured. Without prior notice, very few people know that they are the work of robots.
