Robots have sensitive skin like humans
German scientists have created robots capable of sensing even the smallest impact or temperature change just like humans.

Researchers at Munick University of Technology (TUM), Germany have created a new type of skin that can help a robot to recognize human-like touches by infrared light sensors.
The leather is made up of several hexagonal electronic circuit boards combined. The hexagons are connected together like a flat honeycomb. Each circuit board measuring about 5cm 2, 4 infrared sensors to identify mild collision at distances less than 1 cm.
According to Gizmag , the robot can detect when it is about to hit a certain obstacle to retreat or look at it.
The researchers added six temperature sensors and an accelerometer to allow the robot to automatically detect changes in temperature, vibration and future that can be measured at the same pressure as humans.
