Expert: The prospect of rebellion against humans has come close
Assassin robots capable of rebellion against humanity are being sold to leading nations, an expert revealed to Daily Star Online.
According to Daily Star Online, expert Ben Donaldson - a campaigner of an independent UN advisory group and a member of the Campaign to Prevent Killer Robots - affirmed, the mass killing machines is about to be deployed on the battlefield. This is said to be an extremely dangerous task because these machines are capable of attacking without the instructions of the operator / controller and are being mass produced.

'We are gradually moving towards a new generation of weapons. These weapons can automatically kill people, ' Donaldson told Daily Star Online. 'The necessary technologies are now available, automation is now creeping into weapons systems that have been deployed or will be used in the future'.
'From the gun emplacements on the Korean border - South Korea has the ability to automatically identify and attack intruders until the UAV infamous Harop is able to identify, lock and attack mobile targets without people Israeli monitoring and control, 'added Mr. Donaldson.
According to the expert, technology can quickly take control of people, leading to machines that can choose to attack the target at their own discretion.
"There is a huge risk that weapon automation technology will grow faster than technology that helps control these violent machines," Mr. Donaldson warned.
Therefore, Mr. Donaldson urged producers of killer robots and organizations to operate these robots to think about the possible consequences before selling them to the market.
"When it comes to acts of violence, people should be the ones who make decisions, not machines," Donaldson said.
