Roscosmos has proposed using Russian boosters to launch research ships to Mars and replace US science equipment with Russia on the EKA's KA spacecraft.
After the US Space Agency (NASA) withdrew from the "ExoMars" project for financial reasons, EKA asked Roscosmos to join the project.
The two leaders of the Russian and European space agencies discussed the results of the joint working groups on cooperation in space science research and agreed to continue to coordinate actions in the field. this.
The two sides also agreed to urgently draft to formally sign a cooperation agreement between Roscosmos and EKA in the "ExoMars" project later this year.
