On August 7, Russian federal space agency Roscosmos said the Russian rocket of Proton-M failed to put two telescopes on orbit due to the missile's upper floor malfunctioning.

According to THX, on the night of August 6, at Baikonur Space Center in Kazakhstan, Russia launched Proton-M rocket launcher carrying two telecom satellites Telkom 3 and Express MD2.

According to the plan, Indonesian Telkom 3 satellite separated from the upper floor of the missile at 8:44 PM Moscow time (4 44 minutes GMT) on August 7, while Russia's Express MD2 satellite separated at 9 Moscow time is 14 minutes (5: 14 minutes GMT) on the same day.

Roscosmos said the 1.8-ton Telkom 3 satellite has a 15-year lifespan, developed by Russia's Information Satellite Systems-Reshetnev. This device will provide broadcast and communication services for Indonesia while enhancing the country's IT infrastructure.

Meanwhile, the Express MD2 satellite with a 10-year lifespan, developed jointly by Russia and France, will provide broadcast, communications, Internet and other services to the Far Eastern and Southern Siberian regions of Russia.
