Russia launched Cosmos-2455 satellite into orbit
On November 20, Russia successfully launched the Soyuz-U rocket carrying Cosmos-2455 military satellite into orbit from the Plesetsk space airport.

Assistant commander of the Russian Space Force in charge of information Alekxei Zolotukhin said Cosmos satellite was launched to strengthen Russia's military satellite group in orbit.
Soyuz-U medium-liquid fuel-powered boosters are used to bring space equipment of different functions with a volume of up to 7,200kg to orbit at a height of about 200km.
The rocket's starting volume is 311 tons and is 34m long. Since the first launch from the Plesetsk space airport on May 18, 1973, Russia has made 430 launches of the missile.
