Russia successfully launched the Express-AM8 telecommunications satellite

On September 15, Russia successfully launched the Proton rocket that carried the Express-AM8 telecommunications satellite to its target orbit from the Russian-leased Baikonur space airport of Kazhastan.

This was the second successful launch of the Proton boosters since the incident in May last year that caused Mexico's satellite to be destroyed.

According to the Russian Aerospace Authority (Roscosmos), the launch was made at 2:00 am on September 15 (Vietnamese time). After that, the satellite separated from the third floor of the rocket and went into orbit.

The 2.1-ton Express-AM8 telecommunications satellite , providing high quality services for mobile and fixed phones, digital television, high-speed Internet access, data transmission, as well as ensure communication channels of the president and government. Duration of satellite operation up to 15 years.

At the end of August, Russia also successfully launched the Proton-M rocket to bring Britain's Inmarsat-5 F3 telecommunication satellite into orbit.

Based on a Soviet-era design, Proton missiles are considered a long-term missile line in the Russian aviation industry.

Currently, the country of Aries is developing a new generation of missiles with this missile line.
