Skynet 5D is the eighth satellite in the Skynet family, launched into space by Ariane rocket, with a shelf life of 15 years.
Mexsat Bicentenario telecommunications satellite, made in the United States, has the function of securing communications on Mexican territory. Mexsat Bicentenario is Mexico's fifth satellite launched into space thanks to Ariane rocket, with a shelf life of 16 years.
This is the seventh launch and also the last launch of Ariane 5 rocket this year.
