Russian news agency RIA Novosti quoted a spokesman for Khrunichev State Research and Production Center, saying that on December 26, Russia will launch Proton-M defensive missiles carrying Dutch satellites SES-4. into orbit.

According to the source, the Proton-M rocket is expected to be launched at 10:41 am Moscow time (1841 GMT) from the Baikonur space center, in Kazakhstan.

"This will be the 70th launch of Proton boosters since 1995," the source said.

It is known that this is also the 10th launch of Pronton boosters this year. Meanwhile, SES-4 is the largest and strongest satellite of SES satellites manufactured by US company Space Systems / Loral run by Ses World Skies of the Netherlands.

This satellite is designed to provide various satellite services to customers in the Middle East, Europe, Africa and Latin America. SES-4 is equipped with 52 C-band and 72 Ku-band receivers. It has a lifespan of 15 years.
