NASA's space aeronautics agency said the second attempt to connect the Progress M-06M transport vessel is scheduled to take place around 1610 GMT, or 23:10 tonight.
"Officials in charge of NASA's International Space Station program and Russian aviation agency Roscosmos met and agreed on the second time of the connection," Ria Novosti quoted NASA on the site.
This morning, US and Russian officials will continue to meet to redefine the state of the space station and the ship's systems.
The connection on 2/7 failed was identified as a loss of contact. The radio communication system for connecting to the ISS fails about 28 minutes before the scheduled connection time.
Progress ship originated from Baikonur space airport on June 30. It brings food, fuel, oxygen, clothing and equipment to ISS. Progress transports have carried goods to ISS for many years and failed to connect to the station is a rare occurrence. NASA confirmed that six astronauts on ISS did not suffer any impact from the incident, because the cargo on the station was still high.
