Scanning the ditch digging radar, a series of thousand-year-old treasures appear in the image
The process of surveying a private land to dig ditches has revealed huge ancient houses and many ancient tombs, inside containing many antiques, which are considered an extremely valuable archaeological treasure.
According to Ancient Origins, the excavation site is in Gjellestad, Østfold, Southern Norway. Huge ancient houses were used as religious or administrative centers and many ship graves and burial mounds belonging to the Viking aristocracy, containing a treasure inside, were identified through ground-penetrating radar surveys. .

Artifacts from the Iron Age in Northern Europe (550-1050 AD). Before that, another ship grave was discovered near the site, which is why the site was surveyed before the landowner started digging a ditch, the team led by Dr. Lars Gustavsen from the Institute of Cultural Heritage Norway.
The burial mounds are surrounded by ring-shaped trenches and have been used for generations, as a form of family crypt. In a burial mound also hides a burial ship, but archaeologists have not directly approached so it is not possible to determine who is inside.
The ancient tomb is said to contain many valuable artifacts, similar to the ship tomb with many gold jewelry found earlier.
The location of this special estate and cemetery also suggests that it was the center of an ancient administrative or commercial district, which means there may be plenty of other archaeological treasures lurking around the area.
A total of five Viking-style longhouses were found in the area, of which the largest was the last found, measuring up to 60 meters in length. The smaller long houses are also about 30 meters long, so can also be used for other public purposes.
