Scans of 3,000-year-old Egyptian pharaoh mummies, uncovering stunned secrets
Archaeologists all claim that the pharaoh who ruled 3,000 years ago died of natural causes but was all wrong.
Usermaatre Ramses III is the second pharaoh of the 20th dynasty in ancient Egypt, reigning from 1186 to 1155 BC.
This Egyptian king is associated with a theory called the "Harem Conspiracy" about his mysterious death. In the past, many people thought that Ramses III died naturally but the 3,000-year mummy scan revealed a catastrophic secret.
"Ramses III is a pharaoh with many enemies. He has to fight against invaders from the Middle East to protect Egypt. But the real trouble comes from within the kingdom. Queen Tiye, wife of pharaoh Ramses III, wanted his son to take the throne and plotted to assassinate her husband, " Bettany Hughes, British historian, revealed details of " Harem Conspiracy " in the program " Ai's Great Treasures. " Update ".
Many people mistakenly believe that King Ramses III died of natural causes.
Hughes added that archaeologists had previously thought that King Ramses III died of natural causes.
"The researchers learned that the plan to assassinate the king failed, the mastermind was arrested and executed. But what actually happened to King Ramses?" , says the English historian.
All doubts were cleared up when the forensic team performed tomography and mummified analysis of Ramses pharaoh III.
King Ramses III died from a cut in his neck.
Ahmed Samir, an Egyptian curator in the forensic group, was stunned by the discovery.
"We found thicker bandages wrapped around the neck of the mummy than elsewhere. After the scan, the team found that King Ramses III had been assassinated by cutting his throat. The victim died after a few minutes of writhing.
After about 3,000 years, we have revealed the secret of how this pharaoh was possessed , "Samir said.
