Scientists call for active contact with aliens

American space experts say it is time for people to actively communicate with aliens, not just receiving signs of extraterrestrial life.

According to expert Douglas Vakoch of the Institute for Civilization Research in the Universe (SETI Institute), people should begin composing messages and sending to planets in " goldilocks ", an area in the universe that is not too hot , not too cold, qualified for life to exist.

" In about half a century, we should expand strategies. We will not only passively receive signals but will send signals that contain information. When scientists recently discovered Earth-like planets in the region can be accommodated, we have natural goals for the communication project , "he said. For more than half a century, scientists have sought extraterrestrial intelligence and gathered evidence of the existence of other civilizations by tracking radio signals.

NASA's Kepler telescope so far finds more than 3,800 planets in goldilocks that can contain liquid water and life.Experts believe that sending signals to these planets is the greatest hope to establish contact with the new world.

According to Telegraph, the message content is a topic that is being actively discussed. SETI created a website called Earth Speak and asked the visitor to give a message to the universe. Women tend to send friends, even invite them to drink coffee and eat biscuits, while men often talk about science and civilization-related questions. In general, the main theme is often calling for the help of aliens instead of finding ways to convey the wisdom of the Earth.

However, according to Seth Shostak, SETI director, some people object to this approach because of fear it will warn dangerous alien creatures about human existence.
