IS has deployed a variety of weapons in Iraq and Syria. Recently, they used the classic weapons that the Iraqi people used against the Roman Emperor Lucius Septimius Severus from 198-1999: scorpion bombs .They stuff live scorpions into boxes. When they detonate these devices, the scorpions will expand and crawl everywhere to cause fear and bewilderment for the people. In 1982. Iraqi people stuffed live scorpions into ceramic jars and threw them at Roman troops marching in Hatra's fortress. With this kind of 'live weapon', Iraq chased Emperor Septimius Severus' troops after 20 days of Roman encirclement of the city.Scorpion bombs are not lethal, but have a terrible psychological effect. It makes people 'eat poorly, sleep restlessly' out of fear.(Photo: Flickr).
