Sent to giant gold catfish

A British fishing enthusiast set a new world record after catching albino catfish weighing up to 88.2 kg and 2.4 meters long at the Ebro river, near Barcelona, ​​Spain. .

In 2003, the giant catfish species living on the Mekong River were listed on the World Conservation Union's list of critically endangered species after published research results showed the number of fish species. This has decreased by at least 80% since 1990 until that time.

Part of the cause is the over-fishing and the construction of dams on the Mekong that make this giant fish lose shelter and reproduction.
