Separation system of industrial catfish pond waste
Topic: 'The system of separating waste and residues in catfish farming industry' has been successfully implemented by Mr. Nguyen Huan, Hong Ngu town's Economic Department.
The thesis was highly appreciated and won the C Prize at the Dong Thap Technical Innovation Contest in 2011 and was awarded the Certificate of Creative Merit by the Provincial People's Committee in the 2007-2012 period.
The system separates waste and residue from industrial catfish ponds continuously and takes out of the pond every day; creating better water quality in rearing ponds than measures to treat water changes or use biological products.
This measure contributes to increase the survival rate, reduce potential pathogens of diseases, improve the productivity of catfish farming industry, reduce water pumping costs, reduce chemical and antibiotic costs in the process of raising and quality of fish. cleaner, bring higher economic efficiency.
To eliminate 70-80% of waste in industrial catfish ponds, the author has studied and used this system very effectively, using the principle of "static environment" , creating a shaped mouth. rectangle, square or circle, funnel-shaped shape with small bottom, 1.5 meters deep in the middle of the pond.
This hole accounts for 5-8% of the pond area, on the surface using a net to prevent fish from entering the pit. Water is supplied in the whirlpool according to the design of the water pipes around the pond; The waste is deposited in the middle of the pond thanks to the reservoir between the bottom and is led out through the pipeline in the middle of the pond.
Waste in the process of raising pangasius, sludge and silt through the process of pumping water from outside will be deposited in the central pit, between the bottom of the pond thanks to the centripetal force of the flow.
In the season when there is a lot of silt, there are PACs (sediment glue) for domestic use, on average 1kg PAC / 1000m 3 of water. When there is flood, the water level in the pond is higher than the outside of the pond bottom, the residue is clogged, it is possible to use a connection pump to pull out the residue.
Therefore, this method saves water flow from 1/3 to 2/3 compared to traditional ponds, stable water quality, no residue accumulated in the pond for long time. As a result, fish grow fast, have less disease, less drug treatment, create a cleaner environment.
This system is cheap, easy to make, easy to implement; replacing the sludge suction method between the service and the use of bio-products to control pathogens, reduce the cost of raising industrial catfish, stocking them with high density, healthy and clean fish and high productivity.
The author stated that this system reduces 50% of water pumping, environmental treatment and treatment costs compared to using other measures. Each kg of industrial catfish farming reduces 500 VND of expenses.
If widely applied, Dong Thap province can reduce the cost of about VND 1,500 billion per pangasius crop (300,000 tons / crop). The results of the project are being replicated in Hong Ngu town.
