Set of photos of children's bedrooms around the world with unexpected differences
The set of photos with special ideas by the British photographer has taken viewers around the world to feel different lives everywhere.
Where Children Sleep is a series of photographs by British photographer James Mollison. He has traveled extensively photographing children's bedrooms around the world from the US, Mexico, Brazil, UK, Italy, Israel to Kenya, Senegal, Lesotho, Nepal, China and India - alongside portraits of the children themselves.
The difference between each child and their bedroom shows a huge gap between rich and poor: Kaya in Tokyo has a mother who is willing to spend $1,000 a month on her children's dresses; while Bilal - the Bedouin shepherd boy slept outdoors with his father's goats; and Nepali girl Indira has been working in a granite quarry since she was 3 years old.
'I hope the series will give a glimpse into the lives of some of the children living in very diverse situations around the world,' James said.
