Set of surreal landscape photos under the starry sky
Photographer Alex Forst, from Germany, has a passion for science fiction. He has made a series of landscape photos under the magical starry sky in many parts of the world.
His passion for science fiction inspired Alex to take this stunning photo shoot. The photo was taken by him in the Swiss settlement of Bisisthal.
This photo of Lake Arnisee in Switzerland was taken by Alex in the starry night sky. Currently he is an amateur photographer living in Walchwil, Switzerland. Therefore, most of his photos are of beautiful places taken in Switzerland.
The image of the Klausen Pass in Switzerland was used by Alex using the exposure method. He said: "When I was a kid, I dreamed of one day traveling to the stars. Growing up, I knew it was hard to do in this life, so I took pictures instead. them with my camera".
Alex's favorite in the night sky is the Milky Way and its huge clouds of gas and dust, called nebulae. The fresh air in Switzerland is ideal for him to realize his passion.
These beautiful photos were taken by him in Bisisthal and Dolomites, Italy. Because he is not a professional photographer, he only seriously took pictures to satisfy his passion from 3 years ago.
'I love it when people get emotional or start daydreaming when they see my pictures,' says Alex. "If my photos touch other people's imaginations, I know I've done a good job."
One of Alex's best photos, was taken by him on Pico do Arieiro - the 3rd highest peak on the Portuguese island of Madeira. His position is located at an altitude of 1,818 m above sea level.
This photo shows the starry sky above a small chapel in Pragelpass, Switzerland.
The breathtaking scene was captured by Alex in Barcelona, with an image of a total lunar eclipse known as the "Blood Moon".
An important piece of equipment that helped Alex with the photo shoot was a star tracker. This allows for a very long exposure, as well as collecting multiple light sources. Due to the long shooting time, the stars are still and the Earth is still rotating, so the tracker also automatically helps the camera to focus on one location.
This magical setting is one of Europe's most famous peaks. The Matterhorn is 4,480m high, surrounded by swirling clouds.
Photos taken in a national park of Portugal. Alex always wants to go to places he has never been to to continue to complete his set of photos.
