Japan Railways (JR Central) said the spacecraft had set a record of 590 km / h on April 16 . The train runs on a test route built in Yamanashi Prefecture. A spokesman for JR Central said the new record could be broken when they plan to reach speeds of 600 km / h on the 21st.
The test runs to test the vehicle's performance, with 29 technicians. JR Central plans to exploit this ship in 2027, at a maximum speed of 505 km / h .
According to WSJ, JR Central's previous record was 581 km / h , reached in December 2003. JR Central said it wants to export magnetic buffer technology to the US for the Washington-New York rail link. Last October, the Japanese government approved the plan to build the world's fastest railroad, linking Tokyo and Nagoya in about 40 minutes, half the time compared to the current Shinkansen.
Magnetic propulsion is a means of transporting passengers that is enhanced, driven and driven by magnetic or electromagnetic forces . The magnetic padding technology allows for a fast, quiet, low-noise train, thanks to the magnetic force that helps reduce friction between the gear and the road surface.
