Skilled shark hunting skills of the heron
The great blue heron species lives in the state of California, USA surprising scientists by hunting leopard shark.

According to Max Tarjan, director of SFBBO, big blue heron birds are hunting experts. They eat a variety of prey such as amphibians, reptiles, fish and mammals."The sight of a heron bird catching leopard shark is a rare moment , " Tarjan said.
Unlike the top rivals of the heron, leopard shark specialized in feeding on the bottom and eating small creatures such as shellfish, mussels and insects. The shallow water environment in the coastal area makes them easy to be targeted for many other animals. Scientists sometimes witnessed a heron killing a shark with a series of beaks hit by a beak in the head and bearing.
The frequency of heron leopard shark hunting has not been clarified. Large blue heron birds sometimes are too confident in their ability to swallow long prey so they can choke. The SFBBO team will continue observations and is expected to announce the discovery later this year.
