Sorrow can help you work more effectively
The mood of boredom can actually help some people work more effectively, according to newly published research.
Psychology professor Tara McAuley and colleagues at the University of Waterloo, Canada, conducted research on how people face daily needs and stress when mood changes.

The research team focused on the emotional response (including sensitivity, intensity and duration of emotional response) of 95 volunteers when their mood changed.
Volunteers are divided into two groups, including people with strong emotional reactions and weak emotional reactions.
Scientists found that people with strong emotional reactions performed better than management-related tasks when they were in a bored mood. Meanwhile, the other group showed the opposite effect: Their working efficiency decreased by 50% when they were in a bad mood.
'Our research results show that some people actually work more effectively when they are bored, ' said Dr. McAuley.
Even so, Professor McAuley warns people not to understand that the results of the research mean that the timing of a problem is when the emotions are unstable.
