Spain: Lost stolen 94 rare turtles
Some strangers broke into the Animal Rehabilitation Center at Spain's " Nature Garden " stealing 94 Testudo Hermanni turtles, a species that is in danger of extinction.
According to the Vietnam News Agency on 11/1, the price of each precious turtle is about 300 Euro on the black market.
Environmental adviser Esteban Gonzalez Pons said all the turtles were numbered and on the checklist, and called on nature lovers to help find the rare turtles mentioned above.
To facilitate the search, environmental authorities distributed photos of some stolen turtles and instructed how to identify the numbered symbols.
In Spain, the trafficking of rare or endangered animals may be convicted of 2 years in prison.
