Special things about the qualifications of US presidents

8 US presidents have never attended college, 4 left college, and 25 presidents used to be lawyers. Those are interesting things about US presidents.

In Silicon Valley, entrepreneurs who don't have a college degree are still not successful. However, the US president without a university degree is a completely different story.

Most presidents have at least a bachelor's degree since 1953. Even so, you will be surprised with the following revelations about the qualifications of the White House owners.

8 presidents have never attended college

In the history of the United States, eight presidents have never attended college, including two people who have carved portraits on Mount Rushmore. It was George Washington and Abraham Lincoln.

Washington has a certificate of investigator at William & Mary University, Virginia, but does not have a bachelor's degree. Meanwhile, Mr. Lincoln never attended college.

However, both are rated as the greatest presidents in American history and carved into Mount Rushmore in memory.

Other White House owners who have never attended college include: Andrew Jackson (1829-1837), Martin Van Buren (1837-1841), Zachary Taylor (1849-1850), Millard Fillmore (1850-1853), Andrew Johnson ( 1865-1869) and Grover Cleveland (the only president without a bachelor's degree undertook two intermittent terms 1885-1889 and 1893-1897).

4 presidents used to go to college but dropped out in the middle

Harry S. Truman, the 33rd president of the United States, was once thought to have never attended college even though he did a semester at the Kansas City business school before leaving to work. Later, he attended some evening classes at the University of Missouri Law School.

5th President James Monroe enrolled in William & Mary University but only briefly studied, then joined the army.

William Henry Harrison, the 9th president, studied medical research at the University of Pennsylvania but never graduated. He died on the 32nd day after taking office in 1841.

25th White House owner - William McKinley - attended Allegheny University for only one year, then he moved to Albany Law School but was later admitted as a lawyer without a bachelor's degree.

8 presidents have a degree from Harvard University

When sworn in on January 20, 2009, Barack Obama officially became the 8th US president to graduate from Harvard University.

Seven other people on this list include presidents: George W. Bush, John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Rutherford B. Hayes, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy.

Harvard is considered the cradle of training more White House owners than any university. Besides, Yale University also trained up to 5 presidents.

Only one person has a doctorate

Woodrow Wilson, taking control of the country from 1913-1921, was the only president with a doctorate.

He served as principal of Princeton University before becoming the 28th US president.

25 US presidents are lawyers

As the executive of the country, the White House owner is responsible for reviewing, signing or vetoing many laws.

Therefore, understanding the laws, constitutions and legal history can help the president predict exactly what that law will look like when facing a challenge from the court or how it will change over time. .

Law school is also a place to train many future politicians. In this list, Barack Obama and Rutherford B. Hayes both have a Bachelor of Laws at Harvard University. Gerald Ford and Bill Clinton received a law degree from Yale University. Theodore Roosevelt and his brother Franklin D. Roosevelt attended Columbia law school.
